There is general info about our organization below the form. You can get specific info via the menu choices at the top of the page.

The Houston Sail and Power Squadron (HSPS), a unit of the nation-wide United States Power Squadrons® (USPS) non-profit organization, has been promoting safe boating and education in the Houston, Texas area since 1949. For over sixty years we have had fun educating the public in safe boating practices, conducting U.S. Coast Guard-approved vessel safety inspections, and helping NOAA keep its nautical charts up-to-date. The waters we routinely cruise include Lake Livingston, Lake Conroe, Clear Lake, Galveston Bay, and the Gulf of Mexico. Our members enhance their personal boating skills through course work and on-the-water certification in charting, piloting, navigation, marine electronics, sailing and power boat operation – to name a few. Our members also enjoy a variety of activities such as: group cruises, fishing tournaments, picnics, and dinner engagements. You are welcome – actually you are encouraged - to join us! Please sign up on the form below the list of upcoming events at the top of this page to let us know you are coming so we can welcome you appropriately. We don’t want you standing to the side, wondering who everyone is and what we are all about. For the latest information about America’s Boating Club (USPS) activities, check out the USPS News RSS feed
