A Vessel Safety Check is a courtesy examination of your boat to verify the presence and condition of certain Safety Equipment required by Texas and Federal regulations. The Vessel Examiner is a trained specialist. The Examiner will make recommendations and discuss safety issues which will make you a safer boater.

This is not a boarding or law enforcement. No citations are given. A copy of the evaluation will be provided. Vessels that pass will be allowed to display the distinctive VSC decal. The decal does not exempt you from law enforcement boarding, but this check will make any such encounter more positive.

Use the pre-trip checklist today.

For more information visit the USPS VSC website.

If you would like to have your boat inspected, or have a suggestion for a special event, please call our squadron coordinator Rick Fisher at 281-583-1377.

The scheduled VSC events for this year are on the Calendar.
